Darwin Nunez scored the second goal in Uruguay's historic 2-0 win against Argentina last week and celebrated with Luis Suarez, who was on the bench.
Celebrating with Luis is something very nice and special, the younger Uruguayan told El Pais, as quoted by 90 Min.
He is the nine of Uruguay, the one who made history. I always try to follow in his footsteps.
Luis is very important for this group that we have. He is a player with a lot of experience that he already had a lot in the national team. It's nice that he is here, that he contributes to the [younger] ones and that we learn from him.
Suarez is both an Uruguay and Liverpool legend and we do hope that Darwin follows in his footsteps.
During his three-and-a-half years at Anfield, Suarez scored 82 goals in 133 appearances — hope Nunez will stay for longer and surpass his tally!
